As some of you may have noticed there is now a small little red box on some of our pages that says ChipIn on it. It is a fundraising program that we are using to help raise the money that we need annually to keep our organization going. This does include the money need to either build or purchase a permanent home for the L.A.R.K. library. It updates everyday so you can see how much has been raised. It also uses Paypal to ensure that we receive every donation securely and you receive a reciept to keep for your records. If you would like to help us out by making a monetary donation you can do so below or anywhere else you see our ChipIn.

I sent out this response to some people asking about positions in our organization that do not live locally. I decided to go ahead and post it for you.

I went ahead and spoke with some of the others here to see what help we needed from those not in our current local area. A got back a few responses, all of which are internet based. I was right about two of the positions, grant writer and transcriptionist (they're both Administration jobs) but there were also a few more. We are in a great need of people to help with research and development and book acquisitions in the Religious Affairs dept. We are also looking for writers, artists and designers to help out in the Public Relations Dept with media and advertising, and with web development and upkeep.

If you are still interested in helping and any of the jobs interest you please let me know. If nothing else I would like to keep you as a contact for when we begin to expand closer to your area.

We had started to upload our library listings to the site. Right now there is not much and the list is no where near complete but there are currently 33 listings up. We will be updating the list every Sunday until the all of our books are up. From then on we will up date the list monthly as we get new books and magazines in. Many people have been asking, how can we help out? We're broke, don't have a lot of time and don't live in North Carolina. So we've come up with a great way for anyone to help and it's very simple. Just put our organization in your top friends list. That's it! doing this simple act will help our project be more visible and reach many more people then we could ever do ourselves. Our goal is to reach 6000 people by Dec 31st. Help us reach that goal!
